LOGAN LECTURE: MATTHEW BARNEY

Logan Lectures Spring 2018—Artists on Art: From Any Angle
Thursday, May 24, 2018 6:00pm - 7:00pm

HAMILTON BUILDING – LOWER LEVEL

Sold Out

Matthew Barney will introduce a body of work that is currently in progress in his studio, and discuss its development over the past year. Following a growing interest in metallurgy that developed during the making of his last film River of Fundament, Barney began working on a group of electroplated metal drawings in the context of a new film project. Beginning with a traditional engraving technique on copper plate, he created a series of narrative drawings, and then subjected them to a series of transformations to render them increasingly abstract.

This lecture is now sold out. To be added to the waitlist, call 720-913-0130.

Doors open at 5:30 pm. Reception to follow.
